As might be expected with the broad spectrum of divorce laws across the nation, some states are better than others when getting a divorce. ‘Better’ in this case includes such things as which divorce laws are easiest to understand and are most lenient. Along with these factors such other matters as ease of filing, overall cost and how long it will take to get everything processed also come into play. The states that take the top five spots in this category are Alaska, South Dakota, Wyoming, Iowa, and Washington.
So, is there a corresponding ‘Five Worst’ list? Of course - but we’ll save those for next time.
